Getting a Custom Banner Made: Material, Size and Mounting

Whether it's a facade promotion, an event, or a temporary direction sign: a banner is one of the most versatile forms of large format printing. The right material and size mostly depend on where it hangs and for how long.

PVC banner material is a dense, water- and UV-resistant fabric, ideal for sheltered locations. Mesh is perforated and lets wind through, making it more suitable for wind-sensitive spots such as a facade or scaffolding. In an open, windy location, mesh prevents the banner from acting like a sail and tearing loose.

2 x 1 m is a popular standard size for smaller promotions, 3 x 1.5 m stands out more at events. A custom size is also possible, tailored to your facade or location. See the full overview on our custom banners page.

By default we add eyelets in the corners and at regular intervals along the edges, so the banner can easily be mounted with rope or cable ties. That way you can hang it yourself without any extra tools.

A banner is reusable for multiple promotions, as long as the design doesn't include date-specific information. A timeless design (for example, without a specific promotion date) lets you hang it again for a future occasion, instead of ordering a new one every time.
