Getting Posters Printed: Which Size and Paper Should You Choose?

A poster for an event, a promotion or an announcement only gets one chance to stand out. The size determines from how far it stays readable, the paper determines how the colours and image come across.

By default we offer A3, A2 and A1. The larger the size, the greater the distance from which your poster stays clearly readable: A3 works well up close, for example inside a shop, while A1 is better suited for a shop window or a spot where passers-by walk by from further away. 150 gsm is a lighter, more affordable paper, ideal for short-term use such as a temporary promotion. 200 gsm coated is thicker with a smoother finish, making colours and photos appear sharper and more vivid. For a poster that needs to last longer or make a stronger first impression, the coated paper is the better choice.

Posters are ideal for events, promotions or announcements: hung on a notice board, in a shop window or on an announcement column. They work as an eye-catcher that immediately makes clear what it's about, even from a distance.

A poster is hung up and read from a distance, with a short and powerful design. A flyer is instead handed out and read up close, with more room for detail.
